Even as questions were being raised as to why newly built buildings collapsed in the recent Italian earthquake, rescuers searching for bodies were in for a surprise when they brought out alive a 20 year old girl student from the rubbles of a university’s dorm more than three days after the deadly earthquake. The girl’s father said that he had lost all hope of her survival as her dorm was on the down floor of the collapsed building. Not all parents were this fortunate as they patiently waited for some good news about their loved ones caught beneath the rubble.
