Nipped in the bud
Andrew Thomas Gallo, 22, was charged with the murder of Nick Adenhart, the Los Angles Angels player and three others. Gallo, who had his license suspended due to a previous drunk driving charge had a blood alcohol level that was thrice the normal limit, was driving at 65 mph in a 35 mph zone and also ran a red light, before causing the fatal accident. Adenhart, 22, who was about to begin his first full season for the LA Angles and played his fourth Major League game a few hours earlier, died at the UC Irvin Medical Center, where he underwent surgery.
